Eversdal at a glance

Eversdal is a beautifully settled suburb within the larger Durbanville-metro, with an additional extension falling under the Bellville-metro. Situated half way between Cape Town and Stellenbosch, Eversdal offers almost unparalleled access to a wide array of medical and recreational amenities, excellent Primary and High Schools and various business centres, therefore making it the ideal suburb for comfortable family living. The area is well known for its large plots and beautiful scenery, as well as its excellent proximity to fantastic wine and cycling routes.

Eversdal is ideally situated between several private and public hospitals. Durbanville Medi Clinic, Cape Gate Medi Clinic and Tyger Valley Intercare are but three of the closest private hospitals within an easy 10 minute drive from the area. Karel Bremer Public Hospital and Tygerberg Public hospital are within 20 minutes' drive, and Durbanville town centre also hosts a day clinic, sponsored by the state.

Originally an enormous farm by the name of "Everts Dal", this valley with its spectacular views and easy atmosphere developed into the pride of the Northern Suburbs school district boasting some of  Western Cape's top Primary and High schools. Everdal Primary School is right in the centre of the suburb and surrounding the area, within a short 10 minutes' drive, are Stellenberg and Fairmont High Schools, as well as Kenridge and Gene Louw Primary Schools. 

All major transport routes and modes are easily accessible to the residents of Eversdal. Busses run the main routes regularly (Durban Road) and mini buses are available without holdup. The N1, R300 and N2 highway are within easy reach. Cape Town Central is a mere 29 km away, and the Stellenbosch wine district is only 30km from Eversdal. The usual drive to the airport takes 40 to 45 minutes, and is approximately 18km from Eversdal central.

Living in Eversdal offers fantastic access to very popular shopping facilities. Within 10 minutes' drive, one would find Cape Gate Shopping Centre, Pine Hurst Shopping Centre, Willowbridge Shopping Centre, Cobble Walk, Tyger Valley Shopping Centre, Kenridge Centre and the Durbanville Shopping District with newly added popular restaurants for the entire family to enjoy.

Due to its proximity to the local Durbanville, Paarl and Stellenbosch wine districts and its central location, the areas surrounding Eversdal offer an abundance of restaurants, nurseries, sporting and leisure activities. The Northern Suburbs offer exceptional value for money dining experiences as well as entertainment for the younger generations.

Arguably one of the most attractive attributes of this area is the proximity to recreational activities. Everything from surfing, wine tasting, the V&A waterfront, to shopping, mountain biking, golfing, hiking, skydiving and the famous Table Mountain cable-way are all within a mere 25 minutes' drive. Living half way between Cape Town and the Cape Winelands, offers the best of both country living and the bustling city atmosphere.

The Eversdal demographic comprises a good mixture of Afrikaans and English speaking families. Gene Louw Primary School and Stellenberg High School are both parallel medium schools, with equal amounts English- and Afrikaans-speaking pupils; whereas Fairmont High School with excellent annual performance results, offers only English medium. 

As a well-established area, the area hosts both younger and older families. While older families are scaling down or moving out of the schooling district, younger families are moving into the schooling district. This constant movement of demographic makes Eversdal an excellent investment opportunity for your next family home.
